For a small island, Mahim does pretty well for itself as far as tourist spots go. There are Historic Spots, namely the 17^th Mahim Fort, which is a relic of the British Raj. For the religiously inclined, there are religious monuments of every religion. Sitladevi temple, Mahim Church and Mahim Durgah are the most prominent religious places. Also there is the miraculously placed Maharashtra Nature Park. Why miraculous? Well try imagining a 150 hectare green forest with a bird sanctuary to boot, bang in the middle of one of the congested places in Mumbai. It is almost serendipitous.
