| 2 |   | potatoes sliced |
| 200 | grams | white pumkin - lauki sliced |
| 1 | teacup | cabbage sliced |
| 225 | grams | onions sliced |
| 75 | grams | almonds roasted |
| 2 | teacups | low fat milk |
|   |   | 1 bay leaf |
| 1 | tablespoon | fresh cream (optional) |
| 2 | tablespoons | butter |
|   |   | salt and pepper to taste |
| Directions: |

Heat the butter and cook the potatoes, pumpkin, cabbage, onions and 3/4 of the almonds on a slow flame till the potatoes are cooked. |

Add the milk, 3 teacups of water and the bay leaf. Cook for a few minutes and then remove the bay leaf. |

Blend the mixture in a liquidiser and strain the soup. Boil for 10 minutes. |

Slice and roast the remaining almonds. |

| Serving ideas: |
| Just before serving, add the cream, almonds, salt and pepper to the soup. Serve hot. |
| Notes: |
| Almonds are rich in protein, essential fatty acids, Vitamins B Complex and E and minerals like zinc and copper. While minerals stop falling hair, Vitamin E spur hair growth. Essential fatty acids and Vitamin B Complex lend lustre and bounce to hair. |
